Mission ControlThe Kodiak Starport maintains a wide array of ground and space-based mission control capabilities. KST can coordinate multiple launch-and-land efforts thanks to a dedicated workforce that comprises more than one hundred mission specialists.
Take-offs are coordinated through a series of linked guidance, weather, and flight system monitors. Each flight is monitored by a Launch Boss, who has real time access to ground, air, and space traffic controllers. KST supports a variety of lift methods, which include solid rocket boosters and elevated launch rails.
Landings are facilitated using the very latest in Radar, Lidar, Spectra-Thermal, and Optical tracking systems. Each inbound flight is managed by a Touchdown Coordinator, who has real time access to ground, air, and space traffic controllers and emergency services. KST supports a variety of landing methods, which include splashdown (water landings) and glide approach (runways).
